PHONE TRACER-FIGHT BACK!

  One of the biggest pains in my butt these days is the unwanted"telemarketing". In the old days, door to door salesman used to show up at your door selling vacuum cleaners or encyclopedias. Jehovahs witnesses
were usually the most entertaining or annoying depending on my mood at the time..LOL
   Now we have the constant calls trying to sell me just about anything including scams. Unfortunately all I can do is turn my phone off or hit the busy button.
  If your curious like me, you can find out who's bothering you by checking the number on the internet.

This website has been most helpful giving me info on these callers and who they are. Its called "Phone Tracer" and its a FREE SERVICE! It can't stop the calls but at least it can tell you who's bugging you!

  Ok it seems I'm getting plenty of people reading my blogs but nobody commenting? I guess you're waiting for pictures or I haven't said anything to spur a response. I'd love to see some comments, jokes, insults or anything else you might like to see in my comment boxes. Heck, if you want to promote yourself or SL shops, give me something interesting to post!
  I might have to resort to knock knock jokes but I'm hoping for cool pics from SL. That would be very cool and interesting! What do think?
  You the reader have the power to point these blogs in the direction you would like to see. I'm still undecided.
  This could be a humour blog, news, religion, sports just about anything! Just like SL lets the citizens build second life, you can build this blog!

FIRST EVER MUNCH SHOW!

  I been looking for a catchy event to use in my "Second life"groups and I think I found one. Problem is, if it gets too popular, every other club will copy it. I'm such a brilliant trendsetter it seems, that few clubs can't create their own events lol. I have to admit I copy too but I at least give it twist to make it seem original ha ha.
  The Moulin Rouge in SL agreed to let me try my idea I call a Munch show. What is a munch? It's a hybrid word that comes from  two words. First is "meeting" and the second is "lunch". I stole this idea from a chatroom I use to spend time in during my early days playing on my computer.
  The idea is to invite friends and business owners to a show and let them promote their businesses. This is already being done in some groups but I added the cool name :)
   I think this will really be popular, and with my style of presentation, this should be fun for everyone! I whole heartedly invite you to the next Munch hopefully coming soon! Only at The Moulin Rouge in SL! I'll post pics when I can. Please stay tuned to this blog for more info! If you don't I'll come get you! LOL.

FOOD CRITIC

    Nothin fancy here, but if your ever in Edmonton AB., a great restaurant if you like Italian is the "Tasty Tomato". Upon arriving with my mother to try this place for the first time, we were greeted with a free glass of wine while we waited for a table. It was obvious that others in line with us were regular customers. I'm used to fast food places but the gourmet food network on TV made me decide to try the upscale places. lol.
    The food was fantastic! I had only the spaghetti and meat sauce with Tiramasu for dessert, but I was hooked on this place! I cannot ever eat at another fast food place again! I found a new hobby just when I need to diet the most lol.
     They even sell the sauce in sealed jars still warm! You know its made fresh that day and was told they use no preservatives. I had to use it up in three days, I had no problem doing that! Great place, check it out!

MORE GEAR GRINDING

I wish I could believe I'm saving the world by stating the obvious but, nothing ever seems to be done to fix them. Maybe I'm a grumpy old man looking to complain about anything but wouldn't this world be better off if society had some common morales? Maybe some common courtesy also? What a different world this would be! Something that drives me nuts that has become common place nowadays is the dumpster divers.
   I understand there will always be the poor people looking for ways to survive but I live in a city with plenty of jobs for people that can work. These people I see digging thru my garbage, I seriously doubt they are trying to make money for food or other nescessities. They are dressed too well, and some are driving cars or pickups to load up. I think they are lazy people not wanting to work a real job. These creepy people going thru MY garbage should be against the law. Its a health hazard. I believe they are looking for drug money or to buy booze. Some others are trying to get rich the easy way lol. I feel I have no freedom or privacy when I see these people hovering nearby when I throw about my garbage. This should stop.
   Next, the drivers in Edmonton are nuts or on drugs. Over the years they have become ill mannered discourteous morons. They don't signal turns or lane changes. In winter you need plenty of warning if you have trouble stopping. I had one moron turn onto the road I was driving, cutting me off, having to slow down from 55KMpH to 30KpH without any warning. He could easily let me go by first, nobody behind me. This jerk waits till the very last second to jump in front of me. I decide to change lanes and go by him. No such luck, this guy decides to cut me off again! I return to the lane I'm originally driving and go past him, thinking he's on drugs. This nut follows me, several turns, tries to go by me again nearly cutting me off from my turn. The punch line?...I cut him off first so I can make my turn. He drives beside me, rolls down his window and asks what my problem is! He claims I'm a speed demon driving too fast, I should slow down! I'm driving a little under the legal limit. This nuts driving 20KM under the limit. People like this should be shot!..LOL You hear about road rage, its because of THESE GUYS!

EDMONTON OILERS "THE PLAN"

Unbelievable! I hear so much negative stuff about the coach, GM and Kevin Lowe. I can only conclude that these supposed fans don't remember how we did it the first time with rebuilding. Coach Renney and Tambilini, and above all, Kevin Lowe have all done a MASTERFULL job with the rebuild so far! Maybe these nay sayers that want to fire everyone are from Toronto, but we do things a lot different here. We KNOW how to build a winner. All we lacked over the last 20 years was an owner. Now we have one!
   This is year 3 in the rebuild. Progress will be seen on the ice next year guaranteed!
Paarvi, Eberle was year one, Hall, last year, THE NUGE this year! Already we have the leagues best power play...next year hopefully we have a second scoring line. I'd like to see a bigger more talented centre  on the second line with Magnus and whom ever we get in trades this summer. If we get that second big centre, giving us 2 scoring lines, and  a third and forth lines with size, we'll surprise a lot of people in the NHL. The training wheels will be off next fall, and I expect to see another great start.
    In the 80's we had a five year plan and started with Gretzky Messier and Lowe that first year. This time around is a bit slower but not much. We have a super team in the making, not just a cup winner for a year, but a real possibility of a dynasty! Only time will tell if I'm right but everything I see so far reminds of that 80's team.
    I bumped into Ryan Jones and Jeff Petry in a Starbucks a few weeks ago. I never talked to them, wanting to give them space, but I could feel the positive vibe they had just being in the same room with them. It really made my day.. Its no wonder they skate so fast, all the caffeine lol. Be patient Oiler fans. SUCCESS IS COMING!

What Grinds My Gears?

Hi, I needed someplace to vent my frustrations, so please skip this if you had enough stress for the day lol.

Things I need to let others know about so I feel like I've made a difference for the better.
    First, I moved into what I thought was a great new apartment a year ago. It's been a small nightmare as I've had constant ongoing invasions of my privacy, with the landlord bringing in people to fix and or renovate the whole building. Had I known this, I would not not have moved in. First they spray my place for bedbugs I don't and never had. They cut up and ruined my new furniture I bought for the place so I'm out $5000.00. Great start eh? Second, they have to replace my windows so they need access while at I'm at work. Never happens when I'm home.  Then they need to come in again to fix the damage they caused while replacing my windows...lol Theres still damage I'm waiting to have fixed. They want to replace my peep hole, needing access to my place again..This goes on and on every month for the past year. Anyone else have to go thru this? I advise people not to move into my building as I've heard much worse stories from my neighbours. If your thinking of moving into The Colonade in Edmonton west, stay clear unless you like all the attention and lack of privacy you'll get.
    Secondly...! I work in this meat packing plant in northeast Edmonton... I obviously can't say exactly, I don't want to lose my job.. The place has a few mentally unwell people working there that refuse to flush toilets. How nice, knowing that a place that is federally inspected doesn't do much to fix the problem.          After many years of working restaraunts and other places in the food industry, I'm very tempted to become a vegetarian and never eat anything I don't grow myself. Hopefully these troubles will be solved in the near future. Things are bad everywhere I guess with the world going bad with such speed.
    THIRDLY, I'd feel irresponsible if I didn't do my part to warn the world of the troubles ahead. WW3 is coming quickly wether the public knows it or not. The world leaders know and some churches of course. The most important thing you can do is keep the commandments, be baptized and follow Christ. Read your bible. In the days ahead, it will be the most important thing you ever do...Good luck.
